Stars Christmas Symphony Concert 2025 – The Nucleus Orchestral Program (Orlando-Florida)
On December 20th, The Nucleus Orchestral Program will proudly present its long-awaited Christmas Gala 2025 at the beautiful Tohopekaliga High School Auditorium in Kissimmee, Florida, featuring the talented children and youth from our Orlando chapter.
This extraordinary concert will bring together more than 200 young musicians, who under the baton of Maestro Benito Liendo, will offer a magical evening filled with emotion, festive spirit, and musical traditions. The repertoire will include beautiful Christmas pieces and orchestral arrangements that blend classical music with the vibrant Latin rhythms that define The Nucleus Orchestral Program.
The evening will feature an outstanding lineup of international guest artists joining our orchestra to celebrate the transformative power of music:
- Reymar Perdomo, Venezuelan singer-songwriter known for her migrant anthem “Me Fui”;
- Karen Martello, acclaimed Latin pop and tropical music performer;
- Ina Peralta, talented vocalist and composer;
- Martha Paredes, special guest percussionist and singer;
- Freddy Bermúdez, pianist and arranger with an impressive international career;
And the special participation of Yoel Vivas, Grammy-nominated music producer, who will bring his artistry and professional expertise to the concert.
We are also honored to welcome the guest choir Wattaka Tampa, joining our young musicians to bring an even more powerful and emotional dimension to the Christmas repertoire — making this concert a truly uplifting celebration of harmony and unity.

The Spring Concert on May 17 was a truly historic moment for The Nucleus Orchestra Texas, as we celebrated our first anniversary in Houston at the prestigious Parsley Center Auditorium. Over 100 students, ranging from 3-year-old beginners to 18-year-old musicians, came together on one stage for what was, for most of them, their very first experience in a professional concert hall.
The evening opened with the youngest children from our early music program, followed by the moving performance of the children’s choir, and concluded with the full orchestra in all its splendor. Every student shone with passion and confidence, filling the hall with a cascade of emotions that reached every corner of the audience—parents, families, and friends were touched to tears.

On March 8, The Nucleus Orchestral Program proudly celebrated its Spring Recital, an unforgettable beginning to our annual concert season. More than 90 students, ranging in age from 3 to 18 years old, took the stage as soloists and in small ensembles, showcasing the results of their dedication, discipline, and passion for music.
The afternoon was divided into three groups according to the students’ levels, allowing each one to shine on their own stage and highlight the magic of learning in community. With an audience of over 180 people, families witnessed a musical journey filled with emotions, smiles, and hope.
For many of our young performers, this was their very first time stepping onto a stage before a live audience, making it an unforgettable experience that marks the beginning of their artistic journey. Every glance of pride, every round of applause, and every note played left an indelible mark in their hearts, planting the seed of what will one day become a musical career full of dreams and achievements.

On June 25, The Nucleus presented an unforgettable Community Concert at Camden Park, organized by Westchase District. 45 students took the stage, delighting the audience with solo performances, chamber ensembles, and the full orchestra.
With more than 60 guests gathered, the concert became a magical summer evening where music united families, neighbors, and friends under the stars. Every performance embodied our mission: “Music brings us together and children make it shine.”

During two intensive weeks, students at The Nucleus experienced a transformative summer through our Summer Music Camp. The program offered opportunities to explore new instruments, strengthen music reading skills, and reinforce knowledge gained throughout the year.
Beyond technical learning, the camp deepened friendships, teamwork, and joy, reminding us that music is best learned when it is shared. At The Nucleus, we proudly uphold our motto: “Music brings us together and children make it shine.”

On July 16, Camden Park once again hosted an unforgettable evening with The Nucleus’ Community Concert. 55 students presented a diverse program including soloists, chamber groups, ensembles, and choir, concluding with a powerful joint performance of the orchestra and children’s choir.
With over 70 guests in attendance, the concert highlighted the power of music as a force that inspires, transforms, and unites the community. It was a moving reminder of our mission: “Music brings us together and children make it shine.

On April 7, The Nucleus Orchestral Program brought music to the community with an inspiring outdoor concert at Woodchase Park. 45 students performed in a variety of formats—from touching solo performances to chamber ensembles—culminating with a vibrant full-orchestra presentation.
An audience of over 40 guests gathered to witness how music becomes a universal language, uniting families and neighbors through art. This event was particularly meaningful as it marked the first concert of the Community Concert Series organized by the Westchase District, an initiative that allowed us to bring free music to families across the community.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Westchase District for making it possible to share music in open, welcoming spaces, once again affirming our belief that “Music brings us together and children make it shine.

The recent interactive concert by The Nucleus Orchestra Texas at the school was an experience full of emotion, learning, and music. November 3rd, 2024 – A Night of Musical Brilliance
On November 3rd, 2024, the stage was set for an unforgettable recital that brought together the incredible talents of students from The Nucleus Orchestra Texas, Mallard Music Studio, and Krea Academy. Held at the beautiful Kawai Piano Gallery in Houston, the evening was filled with moving performances that showcased the dedication, skill, and passion of these young musicians.
From solo performances to group collaborations, each student poured their heart into every note, leaving the audience in awe. The recital not only highlighted their technical excellence but also the deep emotional connection these musicians share with their art. The applause that followed each performance was a well-deserved recognition of their hard work and commitment.
We are incredibly proud of our students and grateful to be part of such a vibrant and supportive musical community. This event was a true testament to the power of music and the bright future that awaits these talented young artists.

On October 19, 2024, The Nucleus Orchestra Texas had the honor of participating in the 1st Latin American Cultural Encounter, an event organized by Art7 Foundation in collaboration with the Consulate of Colombia in Houston (CELH)and the Chamber of Latin Entrepreneurs ofHouston. The event took place at V.I.P La Fontaine and was a true celebration of diversity, art, and the cultural identity of the Latin American community. We felt privileged to be part of this meaningful experience.
Our performance was an opportunity to showcase the talent and dedication of our young musicians, who enthusiastically presented a repertoire that reflected the rich musical heritage of Latin America. It was a special moment where music became a bridge between cultures, connecting attendees through melodies that evoked our roots. Beyond the musical performance, this event allowed us to engage with other artists and community leaders, reinforcing the importance of art as a tool for unity and transformation. We are proud to have represented The Nucleus Orchestral Program TX in a space that celebrates the
talent and hard work of the Latin American community in Houston. This experience inspires us to continue growing and to keep promoting music as a means for the cultural and social development of our children and young musicians.

On November 3, 2024, In Tempo Dance became the stage for an unforgettable musical evening. In an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and emotion, our talented musicians performed both in groups and as soloists, delighting the audience with performances on violin, viola, cello, piano, and voice.
One of the most special moments of the night was the participation of our early music initiation group, where children as young as three years old showcased their joy and enthusiasm for music, taking their first steps in this beautiful art. Additionally, our special education musicians delivered touching performances, reminding us that music is a universal language that connects
hearts and transcends barriers.
Each performance reflected the effort, discipline, and passion of our students, who, guided by their dedicated teachers, presented a recital full of sensitivity and artistic expression. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all attendees for their support and to each of our musicians for sharing their talent with us. We eagerly look forward to our next recital to continue celebrating the power of music together!

On Sunday, August 17, The Nucleus Orchestral Program performed at the Special Needs Children’s Art Exhibition organized by Hi Kid Foundation, chaired by Mrs. Elizabeth Arnaud.
The event was attended by families, friends, and the general public, who, in addition to enjoying live music, were able to appreciate a wide range of art exhibitions created by the talented participating children.
Among the pieces performed by the orchestra were:

- Viva la Vida
The orchestra’s performance added a touch of excitement and joy to a day that celebrates talent, inclusion, and art in all its forms, strengthening the bonds between the artistic community and the families in attendance.

Between July 28 and August 13 of this year, five talented members of The Nucleus Orchestral Program received full scholarships to participate in the prestigious YOLA National Festival in Los Angeles, California.
This festival, led by the renowned Maestro Gustavo Dudamel, brings together young musicians selected through auditions from various programs inspired by El Sistema across the United States, offering a world-class artistic and educational experience.
During their stay, our representatives performed two memorable concerts, held on August 5 and 11 at the acclaimed Walt Disney Concert Hall—one of the most iconic venues for symphonic music in the world.

On Friday, July 19, The Nucleus Orchestral Program held its highly anticipated Summer Gala Concert at the Tohopekaliga High School Auditorium, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended. Under the baton of Maestro Benito Liendo, more than 180 Venezuelan children and youth musicians took the stage for an unforgettable evening of music, talent, and emotion.
The event drew over 800 audience members, who filled the auditorium with energy, enthusiasm, and standing ovations throughout the night.
Inspired by the world-renowned El Sistema orchestral model, the concert showcased the transformative power of music as a tool for social inclusion, discipline, and hope. The program featured outstanding performances by the Wattaka Choir from Tampa, the Nucleus Adult Choir, and a vibrant and diverse artistic repertoire.
Highlights of the evening included powerful symphonic-choral works such as selections from Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana and Handel’s majestic Hallelujah chorus, as well as a delightful medley of Disney songs that captured the imagination of both children and adults.
One of the most moving moments was the piano performance of a piece by Frédéric Chopin, interpreted by young talent Lenon Montilla, followed by an emotional rendition of the Ecuadorian classic Nuestro Juramento by soloist Nelson Dueñas.
The evening also featured a special appearance by world salsa champion Giovanna Gómez, winner of the Puerto Rico World Salsa Congress, and a guest performance by renowned artist Lilu Pink Vilera.
This concert not only celebrated the artistic excellence of young musicians, but also highlighted the social and human impact of The Nucleus Orchestral Program, a growing initiative that continues to shine as a beacon of opportunity and transformation in the communities of Orlando and Houston.
A truly memorable night where music, culture, and hope took center stage

On January 11, 2025, The Nucleus Orchestra had the honor of participating in a very special event organized by Casa de Venezuela at the majestic First Baptist Orlando church. This emotional evening gathered hundreds of people with the purpose of raising a joint prayer for Venezuela and all Spanish-speaking countries, seeking peace, unity and well-being for their peoples.
The atmosphere at First Baptist Orlando was one of deep spirituality and hope. The music of our orchestra became the perfect vehicle to convey a message of solidarity and faith. From the first chords, we felt the special connection with the audience, who joined us in a moment of reflection and unity.
The repertoire chosen for this occasion was carefully selected to evoke feelings of love for our land and hope for a better future. We performed emblematic pieces such as “Venezuela” and “Alma Llanera,” which resonated strongly in the hearts of all those present. The majesty of Handel’s “Hallelujah,” performed alongside the talented Wattaka Tampa Choir, further elevated the spirit of the night, creating a moment of sublime beauty and emotion.
The collaboration with the Wattaka Tampa Choir was a highlight of the event.
Their voices merged with our instruments, creating a symphony of hope and unity. Together, we managed to convey a powerful message that, despite the difficulties, music and faith can unite us and give us strength.
This event was much more than a concert. It was a transformative experience that reminded us of the power of music to heal, unite and uplift the spirit. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to be part of this night of prayer and music, and we hope to continue using our talent to bring hope and joy to our community.

On December 14th, 2024 The Nucleus Orchestra Texas hosted the much-anticipated “Stars of Christmas” concert at the beautiful Quilliam Memorial Center in Houston. This special event brought together our young stars, offering an evening filled with music, emotion, and holiday spirit.
The concert was a unique opportunity for our musicians to showcase their talent and dedication, performing a selection of classic pieces and Christmas carols that captured the essence of the season. From solo performances to group collaborations, each act was filled with passion, technique, and the desire to share the magic of Christmas through music.
The applause was endless, and the festive atmosphere created lasting memories. This concert not only celebrated the talent of our musicians but also the unity and joy that music brings during this special time of year.

Last December 21st, Tohopekaliga High School was illuminated with the magic of Christmas thanks to the Estrellas Navideñas Symphonic Gala, organized by The Nucleus Orchestral Program. More than 800 people gathered to enjoy an unforgettable evening full of music, joy and celebration.
Our orchestra, made up of talented musicians of all ages, presented a Christmas repertoire that captivated the audience. From classics like “Silent Night” to modern arrangements of traditional carols, each piece was performed with passion and dedication, creating a festive and welcoming atmosphere.
One of the most special moments of the night was the participation of the Wattaka Tampa group, who with their energy and contagious rhythm got everyone present dancing.
In addition, we had the honor of counting on the presence of Lilubeth Vilera, who granted the Program and Maestro Benito Liendo the recognition of Honorary Members of the International Music Council (UNOTA), an honor that exalts our work and drives us to continue growing.
This event was a demonstration of the talent and dedication of our young musicians, who once again showed that music has the power to unite people and create unforgettable moments.

On November 30th, 2024, the Doctor Phillips Center in the heart of Downtown Orlando was dressed to impress to welcome Fusion Fest, an annual festival that has become a benchmark for cultural diversity and inclusion in the city. This event, organized by the Orange County Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs, brought together 700 people from different ethnic, cultural, and social backgrounds, who enjoyed a day full of music, art, dance, and gastronomy.
The Nucleus Orchestra Texas had the honor of being part of this celebration, contributing their talent and energy to the event. The orchestra performed a varied repertoire that included everything from Venezuelan classics like the contagious merengue, to unique versions of international hits like Coldplay’s “Viva la Vida” and the “Pirates of the Caribbean” soundtrack. Each piece was an invitation to dream big and celebrate the musical richness of Latin America.
But music was not the only star of Fusion Fest. The event featured the participation of various organizations from different countries, who showcased their art through exhibitions of visual arts, dance and music performances, and gastronomy tastings. Attendees were able to tour the different stands and immerse themselves in the cultures represented, creating an environment of intercultural exchange and learning.
The combination of music, art, and cultural diversity created a unique atmosphere at Fusion Fest.

On October 24th, The Nucleus Orchestral Program had the honor of participating in the launch of the fourth edition of the Success Recipes Business Planner at the vibrant Hi Hello Lab in Downtown Orlando. This event, which brought together more than 200 entrepreneurs and enthusiasts from the business world, was a celebration of creativity, innovation, and the entrepreneurial spirit.
Our orchestra brought a dose of energy and excitement to the day, performing a varied repertoire that included everything from Venezuelan classics like the contagious merengue to unique versions of international hits like Coldplay’s “Viva la Vida” and the “Pirates of the Caribbean” soundtrack. During Thanksgiving weekend, The Nucleus Orchestra Texas organized a special seminar with the goal of helping our children improve their musical technique and interpretation, and it was an enriching experience for everyone.
Throughout the rehearsals, we worked on fundamental aspects such as tuning, articulation, and musicality. We also fostered teamwork through ensembles and group dynamics, allowing the children not only to strengthen themselves as musicians, but also as fellow members within the orchestra.
To conclude the seminar, and in keeping with the spirit of gratitude that Thanksgiving embodies, we organized a gathering on the final day of rehearsal. This special occasion allowed teachers, students, and families to come together in celebration of not only the children’s hard work, but also the community we have cultivated through music.
This seminar left us with our hearts full of joy and motivation to continue growing.
Seeing the progress of our students and their enthusiasm for music reminds us why we do what we do, and it drives us to continue providing opportunities that transform their lives.

On October 26, 2024, The Nucleus Orchestra Texas had the privilege of being part of the Fall Festival, organized by the Quilliam Center at its facilities. This event not only celebrated the autumn season, but also the community spirit and the transformative power of music.
During our participation, the orchestra students presented a repertoire that captured the essence of the festivities, combining classical works with pieces that evoked the joy and color of autumn.
The performance of the young musicians was impressive, showing their growth both technically and emotionally. Each piece was received enthusiastically by the audience, who were attentive and grateful for the music that filled the air.

Each concert was structured in two parts: in the first, our students performed as soloists, demonstrating their individual growth and the fruit of their effort and dedication. It was an intimate and moving moment, where each performer was able to express themselves musically and captivate the audience with their talent.
Then, the full orchestra took the stage, offering a vibrant repertoire that ranged from classical pieces to melodies with a festive and dynamic spirit.

In addition, we had the special participation of our children's choir, which further enriched the musical experience.

On October 2, 2024, Middle School Denn John became the epicenter of Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations in Kissimmee. Our program, The Nucleus Orchestral Program, had the honor of participating in this special event, performing a repertoire that resonated with the over 300 attendees.
The night was filled with music, dance, and joy as our orchestra performed Venezuelan classical pieces like the famous merengue “El Primer Dedo” by composer Carlos Medardo, as well as unique versions of international hits like “Viva la Vida” by Coldplay and the soundtrack from “Pirates of the Caribbean.”
Each note was a tribute to our roots and a source of pride for the entire Venezuelan community.

On July 13, 2024, Tohopekaliga High School became the stage for a magical night where music and talent came together at the Summer Gala Concert organized by The Nucleus Orchestral Program.
Over 650 attendees enjoyed an unforgettable evening that celebrated the growth and passion of our young musicians.
The night began with performances by our youngest students from the Musical Initiation program, who showcased innate talent and great dedication. Following them, the Children’s Orchestra and the Youth Orchestra delighted the audience with a varied repertoire that included everything from classical pieces to modern arrangements.
One of the highlights of the evening was the performance of our special guests.
Katherine Rivas, director of our branch in Houston, Texas, and the renowned Venezuelan composer Claudia Prieto, Grammy-nominated, both shared their experiences and passion for music with the audience, inspiring our young musicians to continue growing and pursuing their dreams.

On June 29th, Plaza del Sol in Kissimmee was filled with energy and creativity during the celebration of Expo Kids Business. Organized by Made in Venezuela, this unique event brought together hundreds of young Venezuelan entrepreneurs showcasing their products and services. The Nucleus Orchestral Program had the honor of participating in this initiative, adding the magic of music to this inspiring gathering.
With over 400 attendees, the event provided a platform for children and young people to showcase their talent and entrepreneurial spirit. Our orchestra, made up of talented young musicians, created the perfect atmosphere for the day, performing a varied repertoire that included classics like “Merengue del Primer Dedo” by composer Carlos Medardo, as well as adapted versions of international hits like “Viva la Vida” by Coldplay and the soundtrack from “Pirates of the Caribbean.”
The participation of The Nucleus Orchestral Program in the Expo Kids Business was more than just a musical performance.

On June 8, 2024, First Baptist Orlando was the venue for an unforgettable day where music and Venezuelan talent came together to celebrate the achievements of our youth.
Casa de Venezuela organized a special event to recognize outstanding Venezuelan children and young people for the 2023-2024 school year, and The Nucleus Orchestral Program had the honor of being part of this celebration.
The evening was an opportunity to recognize the effort and dedication of Venezuelan youth who, despite the challenges, continue to excel in their studies and in various fields.
Their achievements are an example for all of us and a testament to the fact that the future of our community is in good hands.
Together, we continue building a brighter future for our community!

The inaugural concert of The Nucleus Orchestra Texas, held on May 25, 2024, was a memorable event that marked the beginning of a new chapter in the world of music education. The event took place at the Quilliam Memorial Center, a cozy and vibrant venue, which became the perfect setting for this celebration of talent and dedication.
The evening began with a warm welcome that set the stage for a series of exceptional performances. The orchestra’s students, with great enthusiasm, performed a varied repertoire that spanned both classical and modern pieces, showcasing their technical and musical prowess.
One of the most special moments of the event was witnessing how the orchestra worked together, creating an impressive harmony in each piece.

On April 27, Festival Park in Orlando became the epicenter of Venezuelan culture with the celebration of Somos Venezuela Fest. Organized by Orlando Sensation Production, the event brought together more than 1,000 people for a day filled with music, dance, and joy.
Our orchestra, The Nucleus Orchestral Program, had the honor of performing at this grand event, delivering a repertoire that captivated the audience. From the infectious rhythms of merengue to the heartfelt ballad “Viva la Vida”, each piece was an invitation to celebrate our identity and roots.
The festival was much more than just a concert—it was an opportunity for the Venezuelan community in Orlando to come together, share, and celebrate their culture. Attendees enjoyed a variety of activities, including dance workshops, Venezuelan gastronomy showcases, and dedicated spaces for children.

The Venezuelan community in Orlando joyfully celebrated its traditional Spring Festival on April 20 at Fashion Square Mall.
Organized by Casa de Venezuela, the event brought together more than 350 people for a day filled with music, color, and traditions.
The festival was a true showcase of Venezuela’s rich culture. Attendees enjoyed top-tier musical performances, featuring an orchestra that played classic Venezuelan pieces like the famous merengue “El Primer Dedo” by composer Carlos Medardo, as well as unique renditions of international hits such as “Viva la Vida” by Coldplay and “Encanto” by Juan Figuera.
World Premiere of a Masterpiece.
One of the most memorable moments of the night was the world premiere of Suite Primaveral, an original composition by young Venezuelan composer Juan Figuera, a former student of maestro Benito Liendo.
Composed in 2023, this piece transported the audience to the soundscapes of Venezuela with its freshness and originality. It was a privilege for The Nucleus Orchestral Program to premiere this masterpiece.

On December 13th, 2023, the Celebration High School Auditorium was filled with holiday magic and cheer as it hosted the first annual Holiday Stars event. This musical extravaganza brought together 450 attendees and served as the perfect grand finale to the year, celebrating with music and joy.
The concert featured a special performance by solo artist Jose Daniel Garcia, who captivated the audience with his renditions of beloved Christmas carols and holiday songs.
The orchestra, comprised of 70 talented musicians, also delivered a stunning performance, playing holiday classics such as “Feliz Navidad,” “Jingle Bells,” and “Silent Night,” among others. The combination of Jose Daniel Garcia’s vocals and the orchestra’s musical prowess created a magical and festive atmosphere that resonated with everyone present.
Inspiring Young Talent
One of the most heartwarming moments of the evening was the debut performance of the first-ever Florida Paper Orchestra, composed of children aged 3 to 6 years old. These young musicians showcased their talent and enthusiasm, delighting the audience with their renditions of Christmas carols.
The Florida Paper Orchestra’s performance was a testament to the power of music to unite people of all ages and a reminder of the importance of supporting and nurturing musical talent from an early age.
The inaugural Holiday Stars event was an unforgettable experience for all who attended. The combination of music, talent, and holiday spirit created a truly unique and special evening.

On December 10th, 2023, the magic of a Venezuelan Christmas came to the city with the celebration of the Christmas Bazaar organized by the Venezuelan Club. An event full of joy, tradition and Venezuelan talent that brought together 350 attendees.
The bazaar offered a diverse sample of Venezuelan art and culture, with the participation of different organizations that exhibited their creations and products. Attendees were able to enjoy a variety of options to find the perfect gift, from handicrafts and clothing, to typical Venezuelan food and sweets.
Music that Ignites the Christmas Spirit
Music was a key element of this event, and the orchestra’s performance was one of the most emotional moments of the day. The 30 members of the orchestra, with their talent and passion, performed pieces that evoked joy and the Christmas spirit. From the traditional merengue “Primer Dedo” by composer Carlos Medardo, to the hymn of hope “Viva la Vida” by Coldplay, and the Christmas classic “Feliz Navidad”, the music filled the atmosphere with magic and emotion.
The Venezuelan Club’s Christmas Bazaar was much more than a commercial event, it was a space for the Venezuelan community and the general public to come together, share and celebrate Christmas. Joy and human warmth were the protagonists of this day that left an unforgettable memory in the memory of the attendees.

On December 3rd, 2023, the city was filled with excitement for the fifth edition of the All-Star Games – Bmp Cup, an event that combined the passion for sports and music into an unforgettable day
The main event was a baseball tournament that brought together prominent figures from Venezuelan sports, who demonstrated their talent and charisma on the field. Personalities such as Omar Vizquel, Juan Arango, Armando Galarraga, and Carl Herrera joined this sports party, sharing with the 1,500 attendees who came to the venue.
Music as the Main Attraction
The Orchestra also played a leading role in this event, delighting the audience with a varied and exciting repertoire. They performed pieces that made those present vibrate, from the merengue “Primer Dedo” by composer Carlos Medardo, to the hymn of hope “Viva la Vida” by Coldplay, and the Christmas classic “Feliz Navidad”. The 65 members of the orchestra demonstrated their talent and professionalism, infecting the public with their energy and passion for music.
The fifth edition of the All-Star Games – Bmp Cup was an event that will be etched in the memory of those present. The combination of sports, music and the presence of great figures of Venezuelan sports made this day a unique and special event.
