Night of Candles – Music, Tradition, and Community

December 5, 2025
| Dover Shores Community Center – Orlando, Florida

The Night of Candles, organized by Renacer Foundation, was an evening filled with light, culture, and emotion that celebrated one of Colombia’s most representative traditions, integrating it with the transformative power of music. At this special event, 50 children from The Nucleus Orchestral Program led an artistic performance that deeply moved the audience and reaffirmed the value of music education as a tool for social and community impact.

The musical program featured a diverse and vibrant repertoire, including performances of Danzón No. 2 by Arturo Márquez, Viva la Vida by Coldplay, selections from Pirates of the Caribbean, and the beloved Christmas carol Mi Burrito Sabanero, among other pieces that blended classical, popular, and cinematic music.

Choosing the Night of Candles as the central theme paid tribute to this Colombian tradition, which symbolizes hope, unity, and renewal, creating a warm and family-friendly atmosphere for all attendees. The event was honored by the distinguished presence of Commissioners Tony Ortiz and Tom Keen, as well as Father Howeer Cajica, whose participation brought a message of faith, reflection, and community, further enriching the significance of the celebration.

This event reaffirms the commitment of Renacer Foundation and The Nucleus Orchestral Program to the artistic, cultural, and human development of children, strengthening community bonds through experiences that inspire, educate, and unite.
