Maria FUENTES
With a Master's in Education and a Bachelor's in Music, she has a strong academic foundation in music education.
Her professional experience includes teaching music at various levels, from early childhood to university, in Venezuela and Mexico. As a former member of the National Symphony Orchestra, she brings a wealth of musical experience to her teaching.
She has also served as a choral director, ensemble conductor, and curriculum developer.
Within her extensive experience in teaching and training in the field of pedagogy, it is worth noting that she has been a Music Teacher in Venezuela, teaching Music Theory and Piano at the Don Ángel Mottola Music School, Anzoátegui; Music at Believe Preschool, Guadalajara – Mexico (2018-19); Choir and music reading at the NOVO TEMPO Music Academy (Emsa) (Guadalajara – Mexico 2017- 2018).
She has also served as a Music Teacher, Coordinator, and Director of musical groups at the Santiago Mariño University Institute (Iupsm), (Barcelona, Venezuela. 2004-2015). Maria was a workshop facilitator for the orchestral training program, General Jose Antonio Anzuategui Children’s Typical Orchestra. (Barcelona – Venezuela. 2015-17).
Was a Music Theory Teacher and created the flute chair at the Don Ángel Mottola Music School (1998-2017 Venezuela); she taught Cuatro, Flute, Mandolin, and Singing at the following institutions: Integral Educational Unit “Ángel Mottola” (Pto La Cruz – Venezuela 2005-2016); “Laura Vicuña” Educational Unit (Pto La Cruz – Venezuela); “Eduardo Blanco” Educational Unit (U.E.I.A.M.) (Lechería – Venezuela).
She was also a Choral Director at the Santiago Mariño University Institute (Iupsm). (Venezuela, 2004); Niños Cantores De Oriente (Barcelona – Venezuela. 1989). Fuentes was a member of the General José Antonio Anzoátegui Typical Orchestra as a flautist (Barcelona – Venezuela. 2012-2017) where she designed and developed a social music program based on the region’s typical music.
